Even Spartacus managed to show some dignity in that Senate proceeding. He even (apparently) read through ACB’s extensive written record as a judge before the hearing took place, instead of just ranting about her religious background.
I don’t believe in any sort of ‘religious test’ - either pro or con - for confirmation to a national office.
But I have to admit that I’d much rather have a person of some - any! - genuine faith in principles higher than just those dictated by this mere material life and the temporal issues of the day, deciding important matters for all of us.
