99.9% of trucks cars trains, etc would get killed in an EMP. Grocery stores have on average 3 days of food.

Id be more worried about getting the gas to run them. Fuel pumps run on electricity and are pretty much electronically controlled.
Fuel farms (tank farm) that distribute the fuel would have issues as well. Most all are electrically run.

Most vehicles would respond to a hard boot, take the battery off and reconnect it and it would start.
Of course, probably 1/100 city folk would noodle that out or know it...
Reportedly, the big transformers used at power plants are made in China with a lead time of > 1 year.
