If you really think about it, Johnny Rotten was the original anti-Deep-Stater, back in the 1980s. Maybe the whole Trump term helped him see he was accidentally backing the Deep State all along, by voting for Democrats (or certain Republicans).
I saw some articles a couple few years ago where he was appalled with how society was going, the homeless, illegal immigration etc.
