Police identified a 30-year-old man as the suspect in a fatal shooting during dueling protests Saturday in downtown Denver.
Matthew Robert Dolloff remained in jail Sunday without bond on suspicion of first-degree murder in the shooting, jail records show. Dolloff was working as a private security guard for Denver television station 9News when the shooting occurred, the television station has said.
Pinkerton, the security company 9News said it contracted with for the protest, did not immediately reply to questions from The Post sent Sunday morning.
While Pinkerton had an active license to employ security guards in Denver, officials have no record that Dolloff had the required city license to work as a private security guard, said Eric Escudero, spokesman for the Denver Department of Excise and Licenses.
“We do not currently have an active license and have never had an active license for anybody with that name,” he said. “If he was operating as a security guard, he was in violation of the law.”

What ever company the shooter worked for is on the hook as is the media company who hired him.
You can not use lethal force to defend against non lethal and a non life threatening encounter.
The mace did not have the ability to kill the shooter and no other weapons were in evidence.

But back to the company. Whenever I have had to hire security for a family event, I contacted a company, signed a contract, and paid the company. The company assigned the guards, and the company paid the guards. I did not get to choose who came to the event. If the news station chose Dolloff without contracting with Pinkerton, then Pinkerton can rightfully claim they never authorized him to act in the capacity of a guard employed by Pinkerton in that event. He was on his own.
The Robert Doloff “Pinkerton’s” guard as a very EXTENSIVE social media history that is ALL over the internet and screen saved and reposted on Twitter and elsewhere.
For example: Doloff was a vocal active OCCUPY Denver participant and in that movement in OTHER CITIES. The “farm” pictures he posted there are of honey for sale at the Tanner Gun Show in CO— and his wife and also links to Submission.com a merch site for the crazy Antifa gamers who tatoo the Space Aliens computer game icons on their arms— another LINK to AntiFA the idiot Denver PD purposely left off. He is definitely AntiFA and he took out the former owner of CrossFire Hats— located in the Denver Stockyards. You tube video below. A really nice guy well respected in the cattle and rodeo community.
Examination of the different videos has identified (by astute people on the internet) a tall black dude with “Black Guns Matter” T-shirt— a white furtive looking soy-boy with red plaid shirt who was his “handler” steering him and recording his provocations which were well recorded earlier to the shooting.
He and the handler crossed the police line to go up to the victim and hassle him (and others) into anger/fear/self defense. The other part of the Antifa team is ID’d as the so called “producer” (for the TV station-who IS Antifa assuredly- in a turqoise shirt with two cell phones recording his “guard”) and of course this CRAZY shooter who is charged with MURDER 1.’
Many in person witnesses- and multi angle recordings of the shooting. This guy should FRY— soon! And Pinkerton’s and the NBC affiliate that owns up to hiring a know criminal contractee of Pinkerton’s... PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS. Criminal media behaviour and planning to “create”violence in a Patriot rally— where no violence was present, and try to make this a Trump supporter violence attack, or shootout. The guy pulled a mace can. The first photo of the Denver Post— who JUST happened to be RIGHT there (hmmmm?) is of the black dude in the face of the victim— before the “producer” and his murdering guard Antifa pal came up. They were setting him up to respond to the guard/producer who were also insulting him and getting in his face.
The other individual’s need to be arrested. This was an OP, just like the Portland murderer who was AntiFA. Find them all— US deputized Marshals, arrest and/or shoot them down.

I don't think 9 News has told us the whole story of how they hired this guy and just what that crew was doing.
Question: Two pistols were recovered at the scene, if one beloned to the shooter to whom did the second pistol belong?
Why would an unlicensed security guard be carrying two pistols?
