'Seinfeld's' Newman accuses Trump of 'premeditated assault on the US mail' in new Democratic ad

Actor Wayne Knight, who played the malicious mailman Newman on "Seinfeld," is starring in a new ad by a Democratic super PAC slamming what he calls President Trump's "systematic, premeditated assault on the U.S. mail" in the wake of highly controversial recent changes to the U.S. Postal Service.

"They had the unmitigated gall to try to slow down the mail," alleges Knight, appearing to speak as Newman. "When everyone knows the only person who can slow down the mail is a mailman."

Knight, 65, then chomps down on a turkey drumstick while charging the Trump administration is intentionally attempting to stymie mail-in voting.

“They’ve shortened working hours,” he argues. “They’ve got missing mailboxes. They’re decommissioning sweet, sweet sorting machines to try to delay voting by mail.”

“And it’s not just your mail-in ballots you gotta worry about,” Knight adds. “Oh, no, no, no. You gotta worry about your grandma’s blood pressure medicine.”

The super PAC behind the ad, PACRONYM, bills itself as "the largest digital super PAC working to get Trump out of the White House."

He does realize he was just playing a make-believe postal worker, right/

Didn’t someone remind Martin Sheen that he really wasn’t President?

What is it about these liberals??!!

“... stores that mail in Jerry’s storage locker.”

In that episode...
-Jerry is Trump.
-Newman is Biden.

Jerry takes the locker full of mail long-undelivered by the lazy / crooked gov’t worker. Jerry delivers it - even though it’s a Sunday. And then gets Newman fired because the PO bureaucracy finds out too many people got their mail.

Yeah, that’s smart. Use a totally unlikable character in a commercial to promote your cause.

LOL. His Newman character may be more famous, but I’ll always remember him as the guy who screwed Jurassic Park.

He’s the guy they brought in to talk about the sanctity of the mail? They do know his character refused to deliver the mail for years, right?

As I remember him, he wasn’t exactly an ideal postal employee. He was more a negative caricature of postal employees. What the public think postal employees are actually like. This will backfire !

Univ. of Georgia Graduate, so, he can’t be very bright. Also, an actor, doubly so.

Not usual for me of all people to stick up for UGA, but Herschel Walker did go there.

Had John Hammond paid him what he was worth OR got rid of him at the first sign of his being a trouble maker, then Jurassic Park would have worked .... but their wouldn’t have been a story.

I think Soros and the left got rid of Michael Crichton at the first sign of him being anti global warming.

Yes! And that’s the reaction everyone will have to that Ad. ‘Newman’ was the stereotypical notorious government employee. He hid mail because it keeps coming and coming and coming .....
