Breast cancer is such a horrible disease. So is ovarian cancer.

Poor thing. May she rest in peace.

That is so sad, to battle that disease all those years of her young life.

RIP.
I am not saying there is any connection, but Lucy had a cousin named Suzan Ball, also an actress, who died of bone cancer at age 21. She was married to Richard Long of “The Big Valley” and “Nanny and the Professor.”

Oh man, that’s so sad. I can see Lucille in the woman’s face.
Haven’t thought of Lucille Ball & Desi Arnez in a while.

Not me. I record every movie that pops up on TCM. That woman!
Lord we need a few million just like her.
Ok that sounded a little obsessed.

I didn’t know that about Richard Long. He was either in Westerns or cast as a young John Forthsythe (sp) type.

Two of my favorite movies with her arm film noirs, Lured and The Dark Corner. I have both of them on VHS, but I'm not sure how useful that is anymore.

Sad. A little off topic but watching I Love Lucy and other shows from that era such as Andy Griffith, Dick Van Dyke Show, Green Acres I can’t believe how funny they were. Other shows that tried to be PC such as MASH not so much.

Cancer sucks. Lost my BFF to it. Lost my Dad to it. Lost my Step-Dad to it. Lost my Step-Mom to it. Lost my Uncle to it.
Why can’t we all just grow old, live full, satisfying and loving lives and then die in our sleep? :(
My Mom: “Well, at least we’re all dying in order!’ I guess there’s that. ;)
