Can't help but wonder if this is part of the Global Reset.
Buying and melting pennies and nickels is a better deal.
Silver spot today was around $24 so thats a pretty hefty markup.
Last I looked today silver is up $1.25 an ounce
Spot price for silver right now is $25.14. You can’t impute a +$42 price hike on a single coin just because your expenses are going up.
I also don’t get where “these coins are one step above, for example, a tube of Eagles”...
I’ve bought silver tubes of Eagles before and they are every bit as good as single uncirculated Silver Eagles.
Got about 30 Morgan Silver dollars that my Grandparents collected from the 20s. About 15 silver vases, pitchers, cups and a bunch of silverware.
Time to sell? And where?
Unemployed and feeling it.
Home shopping networks were selling a new silver eagle in a slab for $90+ not long ago. Something about the design changing and these were the last?
Hat tip to Enlightened1, thanks. Very enlightening.
Buy whatever has the lowest premium.

Does this mean we should rush out and get a bunch?
Considering it’s an instant so-called profit?
Evewrything and anything you want to know about precious metals, miners, etc can be found at kitco.com Long range forecasts, miners who are undervalued, etc.
Many moon ago I tried to sell mint sets - most went for face value. I kept a few years of them for sentimental reasons (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.)
You are not reading that correctly. They charge that for proof coins. They have for a while, because I buy some.
For collectors there is a huge difference between UC and proof.
Individuals cannot purchase UC coins from the mint. You have to go to a dealer.
Selling silver is always under spot. It will take serious inflation to cover that markup over spot value.
Buy Maple Leafs instead.
I’m just sitting on bullion rounds. I assume that unless we have “the great reset” or a SHTF scenario our daughter will get the silver when we are gone.
I bought them for Armageddon, not an investment that I expect to make any money on. Although I could make a nice profit on my investment in brass & lead were I inclined to part with it, which I am not at all.
I have some uncirculated silver eagles from 2007. Anyone want them for $55 a piece?
