The Seattle Storm defeated the Las Vegas Aces on Tuesday night to win the 2020 WNBA Finals. It was a dominant effort from to finish, with Seattles margin of victory ultimately being 33 points.
Breonna Stewart, the Finals MVP, was the big star of the evening. She scored 26 points and was unquestionably the best player on the floor.
One other person who stole the show, though?
Veteran Sue Bird, who celebrated the title by kissing her girlfriend, soccer star Megan Rapinoe.

What? The wnba has fans? Who knew?
feel free 8^)
“Almost all WNBA fans are lesbians.”
Totally agree.
Over the years, I’ve gone to a few Minnesota Lynx games. The on court action is actually pretty good. There are some women out there who look like they’re better shooters than some of the NBA guys.
But a quick look thru the stands shows A LOT of female couples and groups of females. Very few lipstick lesbians and many are kinda butch looking.
Urgh.
Just cus they wear lipstick doesn’t mean they’re pretty. How about the Philly ballot muncher that was indicted? Hmmm, case in point....
Likely many of the WNBA fans are not surprised and find this the norm.
Don’t watch anything W/NBA, so, didn’t see.
Hubby had Yankees game on, last night, and I happened to walk past past TV, just as an ad with two black, gay guys kissing, aired.
We turned tv off, immediately.
So, what was the crowds reaction. Even on Free Republic we have some folks that think it is their mission in life to display human filth in some kind of good light. I wish we would BAN all this junk and go back to what FR once stood for . . . God, country, and morality - Conservative values.
Were both of the fans upset? Surely they weren’t surprised that a woman in the WNBA was a lesbian? Isn’t that one of the entrance requirements for that league?
Bestiality.
Wow. Opening day was the largest WNBA audience ever, 550,000, as the first sport back in front of the cameras. Game 5 of 5 of the conference finals earned 209,000.
Makes the expression: “KMA” a preferred option...
the wnba would cease existence if the nba didn’t give it tens of millions of dollars a year
every year
How was it even noticed at a WNBA game?
but they make no bones about they're aiming to corner the lesbian market....
WFAN in Nee York gives the WNBA results. In 30 years of listening, I may have heard one call about it.
“Can you imagine kissing that?”
Looks like a stroke.
