My grandmother worked for the “Yellow Cab” company when it was owned by Mickey McBride, who owned the Browns. The Browns would give their reserve players jobs driving cabs. When they needed a player, they would call him up from the “Taxi Squad”. So she worked there when the term was born.

Y’all probably knew the origins already. But it’s a cool story I felt like sharing.

This is the first time since I can remember in my 72 years that I don’t care about college or pro football. I always associated football with America - seems like the joy and strength of our country. Now these teams basically flip the bird at my beloved country. So I flip the bird back to them.
