Wray is involved, so I wonder if this is a hastily-thrown-together attempt to preemptively take control of the narrative for the DS before the declassified information is released. They know exactly what’s in the documents about to be released so they will want to put an advance spin on it.
I have low expectations for coming away feeling happy after the press conference ... but I love surprises!
The Presser is scheduled a tad late—11 a.m.—(maybe Wray is not an early riser) so let’s hope we beat them to the punch and release the docs at 9 a.m.
The President should ask for a briefing first thing tomorrow and see what is planned.
It does not inspire confidence that the Press Conference is through CNN...
