The downfall of Fox News’s Chris Wallace and John Roberts
American Thinker ^ | 2 Oct, 2020 | Andrea Widburg

Some men are alphas, like President Trump, and some men are betas, like Al Gore and the sneering, puffing Biden. And then there are men who aren’t even strong enough to be betas. They are, instead, weak, mewling creatures who lack either presence or power, and who then cry about it afterward. Chris Wallace and John Roberts, both employees at Fox News, have exhibited behavior that’s so craven and humiliated themselves so badly in the eyes of Fox News’s core audience that they should be retired immediately.

It all started with Chris Wallace’s stint as a debate moderator for the first presidential debate. Right out of the gate, he failed to stop Biden from interrupting Donald Trump:

Alpha wimps. The Supreme Court justice of the same name belongs in this group as well.

Thank you, and turn Fox off!

I havent watched fox news in a decade, except to look at market prices, and sometimes to check election reports.

I rewatched the start of the debate. The 1st Q went to Trump who gave an uninterrupted 2-min response. Then Biden gave an uninterrupted 2-min response. Then it went back to Trump, whose answer was interrupted 3 times by Biden. If you didn’t like it, blame Biden for starting it.

I quit fox for good. We only had it for my elderly father in law, but I told him yesterday that we won’t have it on in our house any more and why. I subscribed to OAN for him yesterday and he liked it, he said he didn’t miss all the arguing and opinions. He likes just the news.

I agree, there is no need for these extended panels of guests all looking to create headlines with their comments. It's an awful model for news delivery.

I finally cut cable 30 to 45 days ago. I love it and save $165/month and love that too.

I listen to Lou Dobbs, Liz MacDonald and Tucker on my Sirius XM account. I don’t need video.

I agree. And for him (with dementia) it gets loud and confusing. It was causing agitation for him. OAN is calm and factual.

Fox must be in turmoil, being forced to ignore two of the biggest media trainwrecks in recent memory.

The very sad thing about the changes FOX is making to their news shows is that even by including more leftists and lessening their fair and balance coverage of Trump, they still won’t insulate themselves from the revenge of a possible future Biden administration. (It seems to me that they really believe Biden is going to win.) If they think they had problems with Obama, just wait until the Democrats are back in power again. The Democrats will never forgive FOX and will destroy the network. FOX’s only hope of weathering through will be to retain their conservative viewers and sponsors.

John Roberts: "And for all of you on Twitter who are hammering me for asking that question, I don't care...Stop deflecting. Stop blaming the media. I'm tired of it."

Sounds like he cares very much...

Back in the late 90s I had an email relationship with John Roberts {when the internet was new, and email was pretty novel, prior to twitter, etal} and I think he was with seebs, but the nets were not so open about their bias and FNC was just getting started.

He was a mid to left of center guy but was very reasonable and he answered every one of my emails.

Today, that kind of contact with a TV newsy and a regular schlep is not possible.

It is very difficult to get any response from any media talking head.

Roberts is more left today than back then, and he hides it fairly well, except he blew his cover yesterday.

The entire premise of the socialist takeover of the USA is based on chaos. Think of revolutions around the world. When there is chaos the takeover Is hidden. That seems to have been the role assigned to Biden. President Trump, unfortunately, got drawn in because he could not just stand there and watch that fool pontificate. He should have walked off and said, when you want a real discussion call me. You know where I live!
