Why I'm leaving California
Townhall.com ^ | 09/30/2020 | Ben Shapiro

Posted on 09/30/2020 9:20:50 AM PDT by Bonemaker

My family and my company are leaving California.

It's heartbreaking.

My parents moved to California four decades ago. I grew up here. For 33 of the 36 years I've spent on this planet, I've lived here. I was born at St. Joseph's in Burbank; I attended elementary school at Edison Elementary; I went to college at UCLA. I co-founded a major media company here, with 75 employees in Los Angeles. I met my wife here; all three of my kids are native Californians.

Gee if it were left to old Benny, Donald Trump would not be President. Wonder if he makes the connection that DJT’s governance is precisely the kind of governance that California needs to clean it up. Wonder how old Ben voted in the past; what did he contribute to the current ‘crisis in CA? Or did he vote at all? Sorry...no sympathy here.

What took you so long?

= = =

My first thought, too.

Geez....these people are like the abused...what? Did they think CA was really going to change, this time? That it would ‘come around’, eventually....given enough time?

Can’t believe it’s taken this long to open up their eyes.

You will be welcome with open arms to whatever conservative state you go, just as long as you leave those liberal ideas that turned your state into a sh!thole back in California.

Chinese nationals infiltrating Seattle and Portland, too?

What a coincidence the Antifa CHOP zone and riots occurred in Seattle and STILL occurring in Portland. Wow, imagine THAT?

This morning's tweet, by CA Gov Gruesome, should be all anyone there needs to know, about the direction their state is going to continue to keep going....

It’s about healthcare.
It’s about LGBTQ rights.
It’s about gender equality.
It’s about climate change.
It’s about systemic racism.
It’s about economic inequality.
It’s about reproductive freedom.
It’s about commonsense gun safety.

It’s about our democracy.

VOTE.— Gavin Newsom (@GavinNewsom) September 30, 2020

Socialized medicine, diversity re-education....to take you pleebs from socialism to communism.

Could this guy make it ANY MORE CLEAR????

Glad I visited California a couple times during the 1980s when it was still The Golden State.

I was born and raised in Ca. Met my husband and got married there. All my children were born there. My parents lived there for 65 years. We left in 1993 and never looked back.

Too bad we can’t deport ALL the leftists to the left coast and bring all the patriots out of there to resettle.

“...and Florida has its issues too....”

Like some other states it depends on what part. I can see the panhandle/Ft. Myers/Naples on west coast and Jacksonville/St. Augustine on east. But I’m no expert on Florida and there are probably other decent places too.

If Harris/Biden wins, every state is California and the county Venezuela; you can run, but you can’t hide

“Los Angeles sucks ; the bay area is a great place to live”

I’ve lived here my whoke life, in both areas you mention as a kid and adult.

LA is better than the Bay Area. Bay Area is crazy and crowded.

Yeah, from me either. California seems to represent some kind of magical ideal to people. They remain under its spell long after it drives them out.

Same here. I was there in 1970 and again in 1993. Wonderful zeitgeist in the air and a feeling of aliveness. Dirty shame what happened.

Right. I can’t listen to Levin to this day. I was a loyal listener up to the primaries and the despicable things he said...well, I won’t forget. I don’t give a damn if he ‘seems’ to be on board now (that’s always what I hear when I bring this up) he was a pos during that time and imho, ‘out of the mouth, proceeds the thoughts of the heart’. iow Levin is rotted inside...period.
