NBA ratings and NFL ratings are trending in the same direction these days.
Although talk of how football dominates basketball in the ratings isn’t necessarily wrong, it does not speak to where the numbers for both sports are veering.

Well, duh. With all the bazillions of people who die of covid every day it’s a surprise anybody is left to watch at all.
I will never understand certain things.
And among those are, with so many people having been under lockdowns and restrictions, being home more, presumeably watching more TV, and being eager to see our lives return to normal — against that backdrop, why wouldn’t basketball and football fans be watching their favorite sports????

I think two people watched the Stanley Cup Finals.
And really, who cares about the MLB playoffs?
Maybe people have discovered that sports is not an all-encompassing passion any more...................

To me now, Sports is like Hollywood. Just another Corporate, Globalist, Anti-American entity.
The real problem is the ratings are tank further, the League Executives will notice the trend but won’t do anything about it until the owner’s bottom lines are affected...and since most of these leagues have revenue sharing agreements with the player’s union, they too will get lower salaries...
Then we might see some changes made, but I have doubts that anything meaningful will happen.

I thought a few months ago that would be the case when FB season came around, but my team got all “BLM woke” during the summer, so I find that I have zero interest in their preaching at me.
Really? You can’t think of anything that might turn folks off to those pro leagues?
As fewer people watch, sports will become less an essential topic of male conversation, and the losses will snowball. I hope to see every woke sports league drop to the revenue level of US Soccer and then continue declining.

Could it be it’s 99% fake. You might have some players out there but ALL THE SOUND from empty stands IS FAKE. Most of what you get to see in the seats are life-size FAKE people.
Anything else on TV is better than 24/7 fake.
