Washburn University removed the statues of Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson from their campus saying that they didn't want those statues to be an embarrassment to alummi.
On 8/21/2020, they quietly cancelled a black lives matter rally that was to be held in their stadium. Their excuse was coronavirus.
They've just announced the rescheduling of the event to 10/02/2020. I've contacted the University but they need to hear from many more people, so I'm spreading the news far and wide in hopes that an avalanche of emails may cause them to rethink this poor decision.

Washburn????? I’m shocked. This better not rub off on Baker.
It says BEN FRANKLIN.
Sorry for the caps.
As said in the play and film 1776 , Benjamin Franklin established the first anti-slavery organization in North America. He was not a slave owner or a slavery supporter.
That’s it. I reached my limit of patience.
Will not be able to post anything harsh, of course. And will not.
