Because the system here is broken. Most kids that are eventually placed for adoption are in the foster care system for multiple years and that comes with all kinds of trauma.

Been at FR for 16 years, and never read so many stupid commentaries to any thread ever.
The White House surely anticipated this. I’m sure their adoption papers have been gone over with a fine tooth comb and proven legitimate. And the reason for not adopting in the U.S. may simply be that it is a years-long process.
Could the Dems find some Haitian to tell blatant lies? Of course they could. They could find something to stage a smear of some kind about anyone.
