Joe Biden was running late. Again.
On a recent Friday, he’d already apologized for the delayed start to a speech, then taken more questions than expected at a subsequent press conference. When it was finally over, Biden’s motorcade sped away quickly enough to leave behind one of the journalists traveling with it.
But as the line of armored, black SUVs reached Biden’s home in suburban Wilmington, it suddenly reversed course and headed back out — this time to a nearby M&T bank branch. Biden’s next event was already supposed to be underway, a virtual fundraiser with National Democratic Finance Chair Chris Korge. Instead, he lingered at an ATM.
The former vice president later told the donors gathered online that he was sorry to have been waylaid by a “significant press conference.” He omitted the stop to withdraw pocket money.
With their packed schedules, relish for meeting as many people as possible and natural tendency toward verbosity, most presidential candidates — and the commanders in chief they sometimes become — rarely get anywhere, or do anything, on time. Even controlling for typical on-the-trail tardiness, however, Biden has been pushing it lately.
He was more than 90 minutes late to a speech and another press conference in Wilmington last week, and arrived at a CNN town hall in Pennsylvania the following day with barely 20 minutes to clip on a microphone and prepare to go on air. Afterward, his motorcade was already in motion but had to stop as Biden hopped out to chat up a group of firefighters.

Yep, “chronically late”. This is the worst the corrupt media can say about Biden.
Used as a very relative term in this case, it seems to me.
They have to get the catheter and bag just right. It takes time with the diaper.
AP gaslighting that Biden is actively campaigning as evidenced by the fact he is late to all his events because of a pressing campaign schedule. These guys are shameless.
Joe’s Dr. Feelgood has to time the drugs just right.
this is a story about reporters passed off at being kept waiting or being inconvenienced.
Sometimes it takes a lot of oxygen, uppers and Red Bull to get him to wake up.
If he can’t even manage his own time (and respect to those people who did show up on time), then how can we expect him to manage an entire country?
And he can’t even run his own life, I’ll be damned if he’ll run mine.
An old boss of mine used to say “If you’re on time, you’re already late”.
His aides kept telling him he needed to leave, but he replied that he wanted to watch the rest of The Andy Griffith Show.
Has anyone been down to the basement to make sure biden is still alive? It is a common problem with old folks in basements that are doing something that know one knows about...
Just what kind of Bizarro World campaign is this? What a fraud on the unthinking and stupid.
This is one of those friendly playfully chiding articles that actually make it seem like he is running late because he is doing so much.

On Tuesday, at 9:22 a.m., reporters covering the Joe Biden campaign were told that there would be no more events or newsmaking to issue forth from Team Biden for the rest of the day.
The same thing happened on Saturday. At 8:35 a.m. on Sept. 19, Team Biden put a “lid” on that campaign day.
In fact, the lid has come down before noon no less than eight times this month. That would be 36 percent of the campaign days in the month of September in which the Biden campaign has canceled its activities before lunchtime.
