That you’re not supposed to do this should go without saying — but MTA bosses believe they need a rule explicitly banning defecating on the subway.
The new rule is on the agenda for an MTA meeting Wednesday. The rule will ban defecating on the city’s subways, buses and transit facilities.
Transit rules previously mandated $100 fines for straphangers who "create a nuisance, hazard, or unsanitary condition (including, but not limited to, spitting or urinating).”
Creating an “unsanitary condition” surely includes pooping — but MTA officials think they have to be more specific.

And they all got paid double-overtime to meet and spend 3 hours deciding to issue the new ban on pooping on trains.

There was a time when NYC was very attractive to me. Riding my bike around the entire circumference (at least wherever there were streets and trails) of Manhattan. Running along the river. Great pizza. Watching people in Central Park. Going to Brant park - shopping at the kiosks and watching the ice skaters in the winter. There were all good things.
That said, I wouldn’t live there again at this point.

Pretty sad that society has reached a point adults have to be instructed where not to poop.
On a recent thread we had some comments about how people used to dress up on planes and trains.

They can pass all the rules they want - on paper. Who’s going to enforce them?
(At the Shut Down City Hall encampment the “protesters” were urinating and pooping in the subway vents, using them as a latrine. The cops were there but stood by and did nothing. Their union and the Mayor have instructed the cops to do the minimum enforcement possible. When someone resists arrest, rather than have a physical confrontation, the cops just let him go.)
