They went in when he was sleeping and started mashing him?
Really, that sounds so believable/s

Don’t call the cops.
Call your social worker.

I am of the opinion that many times family members wait too late to seak help. When the person is already violent is past the time to be seaking help.

Never call the cops on someone you don’t want killed.

She said she told deputies she would call him out of his bedroom, because she didnt want the deputies to go in. They went in anyway, she said, startling her son. Could have been the case, and I always give police the benefit of the doubt. Awakened from sleep may cause anyone to react violently, and doubly so if suffering mental issues.

Sounds similar to case in Fullerton a few years ago. I believe the victim’s name was Kelly.

Gee, no bias in this reporting from the Slimes.
A 300 lb psyco on meth attacks his father and they call the cops.
I think mommy and daddy are glad junior is no longer a threat and see a fat pay day coming their way.

Few thoughts on this, in bullet form!
- Its reported by the LA Times, which is known for gross propaganda and leaving out or adding in convenient "facts". LA Times has an anti-police history.
- Cops don't just come in and beat the you-know-what out of people. They have to have a reason and its usually either they are threatened or the suspect is resisting arrest. LAPD is also highly trained in deescalation and is most often very careful and professional in their work.
- There's a wrongful death lawsuit involved, which is always suspicious.
- There is no police report or transcript of what happened, so literally anything can be said without any fact backing it up.
Now, could this has transpired this way? Yes, but highly unlikely.

No no no- many cop haters insist that cops are felonious murderers in uniform, roaming the streets looking for victims- oh and they are all racists too-

So insensitive of me!

I'm not a big fan of civil cases stemming from criminal ones. I really believe that is a form of double jeopardy. We need to redefine double jeopardy to say that no one can be tried more than once for the same incident rather than for the same crime. I'm OK with multiple charges for the same incident, but all at once and then no more.
Any fines or monies going to the victims should be rolled into the final judgment.
It's really sad when people come up with silly issues such as "loss of companionship" because they can no longer make love to someone who is now deceased. Even worse are federal "crimes" such as declaring a person was guilty of taking away someone's freedom of speech because the dead can't talk.
This all reeks of double, and sometimes triple, jeopardy.
The nonsense has got to stop.
