I have an advantage over you. I fire about 150 rounds per day (used to be 200-300, but I cut back due to the shortage). I’m comfortable with my Glocks, just never careless with them.

But to each his own

> I love my Glocks, but I never ever recommend Glock to others. If you need to ask which gun to get, you have no business holding a Glock

Silly. Any striker fired pistol sans external safety could have this potential.

However, this is why I don’t care for AIWB.

More to the point, unholstering should only happen in earnest and reholstering should never be hurried.

The revolver is the best solution if you are not going to practice regularly. Its the original point and click solution.

Any semi requires regular practice. Gun handling proficiency with semi-autos is a perishable skill. Recommend at least monthly if not weekly.

BTW, I love my Glocks, but I never ever recommend Glock to others. If you need to ask which gun to get, you have no business holding a Glock.

Glock is negligent in their faulty labeling. A correct holster is absolutely critical to bring a Glock handgun up to the level of safety of other handguns and the holster needs to be considered part of the firearm itself. One would never cock a revolver and put it in their holster (or waistband gangsta style) yet that's exactly what they do every time after they chamber the first round in a Glock.

Also whether one likes or recommends them, striker semi-auto is what people buy ... and yet dweebs like this remain thankfully rare.

Police say Ellingford mistakenly pulled the trigger as he stuffed the weapon back into his pants.

No, no! First you put the weapon back into your pants. Then you pull the trigger. Some people...

I agree with your statement about a correct holster being critical, but no one at Glock or anywhere else I was aware of has suggested wearing a Glock without a holster ‘gangster style’ or otherwise. Not sure what faulty labeling you mean.

With a Glock a good holster with the trigger guard completely covered is nice to have. Back in the 1990’s the county sheriff over from us like to carry his chambered glock in his pants pocket without a holster. Well you can guess what happened. One day he stupidly carried his car keys in the same pocket and he reached for his keys and Barney shot a hole through his foot. He was a raging diabetic and nearly lost his foot for his stupidity. Barney lost his very next election...

Any carried pistol needs to be in a holster that covers the trigger guard in my view. Carrying any striker fired pistol with no manual safety in the waistband sans holster is simply an accident waiting to happen and likely not waiting very long.

Mr. Ellingford on a happier occasion. Looks like he must have shot off some fingers too.

Indeed - if he had ever learned to read, he might have encountered terms like "Glock leg", "Glocked brass", etc., and been just a bit more careful with his little piece of 'perfection'...

;^)
