Honest Opinions About Voting For A Female President
9/22/2020 | Redheadedshannon

Posted on 09/22/2020 12:41:22 AM PDT by redheadedshannon

I wanted to create an open, honest & nonjudgemental thread about the possibility of a future conservative female candidate for president. I wonder what most males opinions are on the subject & how it might affect the vote for our side. I would like everybody to feel comfortable being totally honest. Everybody is entitled to their own preferences & I wouldn't assume anything bad about someone based on that opinion. In fact, often wondered what my own husbands opinion truly is on the topic.

Would you go so far as to say you would never vote for a female for president? Are you concerned that any woman would be weak & wouldn't uphold conservative principles? Would you have voted for Margaret Thatcher? If you were forced to choose any woman, who would she be?

I ask because, inevitably, a female might be nominated & I'd like to have an open & supportive discussion on our side about what people's feelings will be. Will it affect our vote? What might your concerns be? Or are you feelings that the gender is of the candidate is irrelevant- so long as they are conservative & stand by their beliefs.

The first time I heard that was from my grampa which was ironic because they had 13 kids and my granma ruled the house with an iron fist and a broom. All males above diapers knew to pee off the porch rather than incur her wrath even accidentally.

I met and loved Golda Meir. I met and loved Margaret Thatcher (long story in both cases). I would happily vote for a capable conservative. Male/female is completely irrelevant to that decision, and the chance to be the “first female republican” would not nudge her standing up or down even a little in my view.

After the experiences with the numerous “Mayors” actions in the past 3 years, I certainly would NEVER vote for a female President in the USA.

IF they cannot properly run a city-—They certainly cannot run a country.

You vote for a logical mind not a body.

I could care less if you "buy it" or don't. It's reality. It's a frigging question lady! I read an article about who we would nominate in 2024 after President Trump. Where do we go as a party? The writer advocated for Nikki Haley. Given the Me Too movement and false accusations against men & identity politics, im not sure how I would feel about a female candidate in the near future. I don't think we ought to elect someone just because she's a female. Period. Sweet Lord. What is it you get out of trolling? It's like you'd argue with a wall 🙄

Your wife sounds like my clone. It's exactly the way I feel. I don't have the same emotion-based, do-gooder views that most females do. It's strange feeling disappointment about your own gender, but the way so many women vote just repulses me. Someone stated it in an earlier post. It would make absolute sense to limit voting to married men & women past a certain age 🤔

Not sure who Richard Gruenell is, so I cant answer that. My opinion on whether or not I'd feel comfy voting for a homosexual. In most cases- no. Not so much because of the homosexuality itself, but more because at present it seems to go hand in hand with an identity politics agenda. For me, personally, I'm I think too many of my fellow conservatives get baited into taking a stern stance on gays but completely pass over the even bigger problems of divorce, illegitimacy & disintegration of families & society. I do not support gay marriage or adoption or indoctrinating our children, but I also realize that it's truly not the worst thing happening right now. Our morals need to be in a better place across the board. I think it's stupid for people who have been married multiple times, had sex out of wedlock & slept around, had affairs, etc. to completely ignore the fact that those are sins are just as bad. Morals are bad across the board. Would I vote for an extremely conservative, religious, ethical, patriotic person with traditional values who happened to be gay in private. Possibly yes. I'm sure I've voted for other sinners. But I'd want him to be a staunch conservative on all issues 🤔

Just for general information Grendel was Trump’s acting Director of National Intelligence. He was the one who declassified information which bolstered Trump’s defense in both the Russian hoax and impeachment fiasco. He is a homosexual, who champions homosexual rights, but is also a conservative and major Trump supporter. He is a very rare dichotomy.

By those parameters, yes, I could see myself voting for a homosexual or lesbian for elected office. I honestly undecided. if I would do so for president, though. On the other hand- I voted for Trump last election & am voting for him again this election- and he has been married & divorced multiple times. If he or she was essentially an ultra conservative & fairly religious person who happened to have a different private life- but didnt make it an issue & just lived their life, then yes, I probably could 🤔

Oh! Now I get it! I saw the pictures! You're a miserable, dumpy, old lady. People don't listen to your opinion in everyday life because, having seen you, nobody would want to be around you. You are probably to meek to ever object to such poor treatment in person, because you're so pathetic & people don't give you the time of day. So you're bitter & you troll unsuspecting people online- where it's possible for you to finally have a backbone & take your misery out on them. Poor old lady! I feel sorry for you 😘

I agree with pretty much everything you said. I might be able to vote for a homosexual, but I’m not sure. Their qualifications would have to be impeccable.

I actually think most conservatives would take that stance- an overwhelming majority. Most of us truly don't care to know about people's sex lives & aren't actually bothered by differences if it isn't paraded in front of us. So long as people are consenting & of age, then it truly isn't my business. If you cram it down people's throats, that's when I feel free to voice my opinion about it 🤔

Me too. I could definitely vote for Thatcher! Ingraham too! I always found Ann Coulters bombasticness funny & useful in many ways, but I don't think she'd work well in politics. The Cheney women have decent politics. Kimberly Guilfoyle is fun as well but a little too flashy. I like Nikki Haley in politics- I'm just afraid we might turn out to be a Bush style Republican. Hopefully not. Time will tell. I'm inspired by Kim Klacik in Baltimore. To see a deeply conservative message coming out of inner city Baltimore is amazing. I adore Candace Owens. I hope she enters politics!!! 😉
