I wrote earlier about trying to express my reasons to my dad in a calm and intellectual manner. I actually thought I had been calm and well-reasoned. I thought I might even be making progress.
Today I found out he put a Trump sign in his yard.
I got pissed. Really pissed. And I sent him and my mom a text message. Hands shaking, tears in eyes. This is what it said:
Due to the signs in the yard, the kids and I will not be down. The current occupant of the White House is preaching hate and violence, endangering the lives and safety of many of my friends. This is not acceptable to me at all. There is a complete disregard for women, minorities, science, ethics, and morality. Please consider if you support Trump that much. Because I hate him that much. I wanted to be upfront and honest about my feelings.

We're blessed that our two grandchildren are less than an hour away from us. My 10 YO grandson goes to the same elementary school our 3 kids went to.

That is being deliberately cruel to both his father and his children. The bond between grandparents and the children can be very strong if they are used to seeing and interacting with each other on a regular basis. If he follows through on this, I suspect he has now broken the bond between he and his children and they will hold this against their dad. Within a few years, they will be asking to go live with their grandparents (once the divorce between their parents is final). JMHO.
So if they said either them or Trump you would take down your signs and not vote for Trump? Not me!
Don’t blame the parents too much on brainless leftist children. They send them to college with the good faith expectation that they’ll learn something to make them productive, but instead are brainwashed like this idiot.
I’ve seen it in my family. Kids go to conservative Christian schools k thru 12 and then are completely zombyized during the first year of college.

I guess if I were the parents, I would tell this person that if he/she could PROVE without doubt, in writing, every single thing Trump is being accused of, I would gladly take down the signs. (I’d also remind the person that I never made his endorsement of Biden a condition of MY love and affection.
I’m really tired of people accusing Trump of all this crap. They ought to provide proof!
