I wrote earlier about trying to express my reasons to my dad in a calm and intellectual manner. I actually thought I had been calm and well-reasoned. I thought I might even be making progress.
Today I found out he put a Trump sign in his yard.
I got pissed. Really pissed. And I sent him and my mom a text message. Hands shaking, tears in eyes. This is what it said:
Due to the signs in the yard, the kids and I will not be down. The current occupant of the White House is preaching hate and violence, endangering the lives and safety of many of my friends. This is not acceptable to me at all. There is a complete disregard for women, minorities, science, ethics, and morality. Please consider if you support Trump that much. Because I hate him that much. I wanted to be upfront and honest about my feelings.

There used to be a time when people kept who they vote for to themselves even spouses didn’t know which candidate the other voted for. It was as private as ones finances.
If my progeny turned left, I would disown them so fast and write them out of my will to boot, they wouldn't know what hit them!

That was my first thought, daddy never took him hunting or fishing. How cruel. My brother visited me last fall and we went to the Amish bakery. We were both sporting beards and an Amish farmer’s horse was intensely checking us out. I told my brother the horse must have thought we were both Amish, lol. He knew we were riders. The Amish own some beautiful Morgan horses in my world of Appalachia.
We can’t control what others think and do, only what we think and do and how we respond to them.
Using grandchildren for political revenge is an evil deed by a sick and dangerous person.
Not that it would solve much, but in some states grandparents have legal visitation rights. If they have committed no offenses against the children the parents can’t terminate those rights arbitrarily. This has been addressed in divorce cases where custodial parent has denied access to the ex spouse’s parents for no legitimate reason other than spite.
For this man to openly pontificate about doing this is a strong sign of an unstable personality. No court would rule as such, but I would consider this a “possible” sign of him being a threat to the children.
Upon reading the email/text, Grandma and Grandpa laughed and they laughed and then they laughed some more!
Honestly, I bet this whole story is made up bs.
What the hell is it about sons and their “feelings”?
Glad to read I am not the only one with a son who can’t accept his own responsibility for his own hurt feelings.

By making that statement, it is clear that this particular son has no business raising kids. Child abuse.

My daughter’s “wife” gave her mother an ultimatum: vote for Biden or she would never see her again. This vicious woman is trying to convince my daughter to do the same to us. She has already pressured her sisters and nieces into becoming pro abortion.
