Jimmy The Blackface-N-Word-User Kimmel now has the distinction of holding two television records. In 2018, he drove the Oscars to a all-time ratings low. This year he drove the Emmys to an all-time ratings low.
Sunday nights Emmy telecast, which was hosted by Jimmy The Blackface-N-Word-User Kimmel were not just a catastrophe. They were a catastrophe on top of a catastrophe. What I mean is that last years Emmy ratings were a catastrophe, and now this years are an even bigger catastrophe.
Last year, the Emmys hit a record low with just 6.9 million viewers.

Never have... Never will...
Although I have to admit to watching the Lucys back in the day...
People are cutting the cord, watching less network TV. There's no reason to see glued to a three hour long live event. I think mostly people are watching the clips on Twitter and YouTube and bypassing the boring stuff.
Another problem with "woke comedy" is that it's just not funny, original, or entertaining anymore. "Oh great, here comes another 'comedian' red-faced and spewing with anger, calling the president a pussy-grabber. Yawn..."
Kimmel was actually yelling Blackface Lives Matter.
(Yes, thats him in the picture below.)
They are “beginnings” with half of their potential audience. The they offer up a non-entertaining product and they lose the rest.
I have absolutely no interest in what actors have to say about anything including movies/TV.
Actors will be a lot more palatable as people if the ever figure out that they are paid to pretend to be someone else. And are not (generally) nearly as smart as the characters they play.
And despite being fawned over by multitudes of regular folk they are no better than those regular folk and their opinions are no better and no more worthy of print than those regular folk.
If you have kids or not...Heartland is a great series
ABOUT HEARTLAND
A family drama series set in the rolling foothills of the Rockies, Heartland follows life on the Heartland ranch as Amy Fleming (Amber Marshall), her older sister Lou (Michelle Morgan) and Grandfather Jack (Shaun Johnston) deal with the challenges of running the ranch that has been in their family for generations. Heartland is not like any other ranch it is a horse ranch with a special mission of treating troubled or neglected horses and finding them new homes, and Amy has inherited her late mothers uncanny ability to work with, understand and help heal those horses

“Ratings Poison Jimmy Kimmel Drives Emmys to All-Time Ratings Low” ( ? )
I suppose that they needed a useful-idiot scapegoat and Kimmel fit the bill but they do realize it is actually because people are turned off by the bunch of losers in unholywood.
Jimmy Kimmel was good on The Man Show because his character was an a$$hole. Now we’ve learned that he wasn’t acting - he IS an a$$hole.
The emmys are a party that TV people throw for themselves to celebrate themselves and give awards to themselves. If the ratings drop to zero you can be damn sure it will be on TV anyway.
This is not tolerated in normal society.
When I was honored as a high achiever at an annual meeting of branch offices around the country, I thanked all my co-workers and clients who helped make my achievement possible, made a couple of light-hearted jokes about some of the things that happened to me the previous year and walked off the stage.
I did not insult my company by using my time to say what was on my mind politically.
Why do these Hollywood people think they are so important and so special that they can use their time in that way? And even if they actually were so special and important, it still displays a total lack of class.
“Heartland is a great series”
A fellow Heartlander! I’ve been bingeing this all summer in the evenings, am sadly in season 13 and almost done now. What a wonderful sanity break from the psych world out there! I look forward to going to Heartland every night. I’m going so miss it so much.
So sad the Borg cube in Hollywood can’t figure out how to just make a good story anymore. They can’t find their butts with both hands. They ruin everything they touch. The PC crap is just a major burnout. I simply refuse to deal with it anymore.
Best news of the day! I am hoping that the rating collapse so much it has to be cancelled. These self-righteous hypocritical pompous buffoons need to never have a platform again.
“Ratings Poison: Jimmy Kimmel Drivel...”
Fixed!
Gervais is too honest towards celebutards. They’ll never have him host anything again.
Didn’t even know it was Emmys night.
I read in another article that last year’s Emmy’s had the lowest viewer score in their history; and, that this years’ Emmys dropped 30% below that. As they say: Get woke, go broke.
I’m reminded of one of the early scenes in “Saving Private Ryan”. Let’em burn, let’em burn.
Yeah, but didn't he reprimand them the last time he hosted one of these things? It was a riot; but, I'm not sure the celebs in the audience didn't enjoy it that much.
Last year, I was tuning in for the late night news and the Emmys were still running. They had given the award for Comedy to The Marvelous Mrs. Maizel, a favorite show of hubby and me. The 2 main actresses got up, with the rest of the cast behind them, and told all the people in the audience, there and at home, that it was a mistake to give them the award. It should have gone to Fleabag.
The look on the faces of the other actors behind them was interesting, as they tried not to show their disapproval.
I really liked that show, not only for the characters; but, the period in which it takes place, 50's/60's. It is interesting to see the clothing and hairstyles, etc. from that period. But, I don't know if I can watch it anymore knowing that the main actress seems to think I'm watching the wrong show.
