I went to a hockey game and a football game broke out..................
The Browns have fans?
More fight than both defenses put up, that’s for sure.
Never. I predict that it will never happen.
....6,000 fans were fortunate enough to watch in person.....
Fortunate?
You’d think it would be Pittsburgh, but no... the most jawing and trolling I’ve seen at Browns games were by Cincy fans.
The team itself may not deserve it based on their performance over the last multitude of decades, but their fans are very loyal.
If the fans get arrested for fighting at a football game, why can’t the players? And if people on the street can be arrested for inciting a riot, and aren’t often enough, why can’t the players? And if kids in a high school can be punished for being told not to take flags representing brave people on the field, and doing it anyway, why can’t the football players be punished for disrespecting a flag that serves the same purpose?
I guess this doesn’t fall under the term “privileged.”

I attended Bills games in the 90s and there would be at least a couple fights in the end-zone seats (cheap seats where the out-of-town fans and Bills fans would mix) each and every game.
Now there hasnt been a fight in a few years already. It speaks to both the vastly increased security at football and all public events, the non-stop push to reduce drinking, and perhaps also in some ways societys feminization and neutering of men.
I wonder if they had been drinking.
No matter how much the players and league insult you and denigrate the country, you’ll still go back for more.
Good thing they were never in attendance during the 50's & 60's at games between, for example, the:

For a few years in the early 60’s when I was but a callow youth of ten years or so my father had season tickets in the bleachers for both of us, on a truck-drivers salary no less.
Every summer there was a football doubleheader. I don’t remember if we always played Pittsburgh for those games, but whenever we did play them a lot of Steelers fans would come in by bus and the drinking started at the break of day, so, by the time they got to Cleveland they were smashed and then they drank through the six or seven hours at the games.
Crammed shoulder to shoulder with Browns fans in the bleachers resulted in a host of Steelers fans getting smashed for real, as well as getting an over-niter in the grey-bar motel located somewhere in the stadium.
Always good times at old Cleveland Stadium back then.
