SEATTLE mayor Jenny Durkan could reportedly face charges for failing to clear the "autonomous zone" set up by Black Lives Matter protesters in the city earlier this year.

The area expanded, eventually taking up six blocks and a park, and remained in place for over three weeks before being cleared on July 1 by police following an emergency order from Mayor Durkan.
Attorney general William Barr has now asked prosecutors in the civil rights division of the Justice Department to look into whether Durkan could be charged for failing to clear the area sooner, the New York Times reported.
Barr is also said to have asked prosecutors to consider bringing sedition charges against rioters and others who committed violent crimes during the unrest across the US.
The US law against sedition states that it is a crime to "conspire to overthrow or destroy by force the government" or to oppose the government's authority "by force".

These are public places, paid for by citizens of Seattle, of Washington and throughout the US. This means violated the civil rights of everyone by not keeping these places free and open to everyone. This is the same theory about these protesters blocking streets. Citizens paid for the streets and any attempt to deny access is a violation of civil rights.
Kind of simple. I love Barr and he seems to someone enjoy pushing back at these libtards in ways they simply cannot comprehend. I hope he stays through the second term.

At a minimum, the bondholders of these burned cities’ debt should and probably will sue the various mayors for malfeasance and intentional failure to carry fiduciary responsibilities.

She should face some major consequences now, but I won’t hold my breath waiting for it.
The announcement that this is being looked into is all there will ever be to it. Why announce such a thing at all?
She bears full responsibility for her actions, but will never be brought to justice.
And Barr will do absolutely nothing, as he always does.
When action is taken and completed, I then will believe it.

Someday I would love to see a news story that reads “has been charged” rather than the empty promise of “could be charged”. The “could be charged” never seems to end up as anything other than wishful typing.
I’m inclined to wait until after November 3rd and then see what happens...
