I’ll retire with a military pension and want to move to a bicycle-friendly, beer-loving place — so where should I go?

Check out the Amazon prime video on our nations national parks. Bike riding in many of them is spectacular

If you’re into racing bicycles, I recommend Detroit, Michigan or Chaz Oregon

No snow. No heat or humidity. Bicycle friendly. Affordable with his pension and SS. The only place I know of that meets all those criteria is the Big Island. Zone 2/3.

The Isle of Yap. Small island, you won’t get tired riding the course.

Well, if that retiree wants to get good, strenuous exercise, and keep their reactive reflexes sharp, the could retire to San Francisco. There, they would be getting a good physical cycling workout, by pedaling up, and down, and up, and down, and up, and down, (etc.) all those steep hills there. They would also have to keep their reflexes sharp, by swerving left, then right, then left, then right, then left, then right, (etc.), to dodge all those stinky brown piles in the street.
They could also increase their deep spiritual and philosophical fulfillment/satisfaction, by tossing various objects (large gobs of ice cream?) towards N. Pelosi's modest domicile there.

Could just be me being southern, but a 59 inch annual snowfall in Ft. Collins is quite a bit of snow!

“Portland, Oregon is nice this time of year.”
For sure. Portland is rated most bicycle friendly state ever year by Bicycle Magazine.

If Trump wins, why not somewhere north of Phoenix in Arizona?
If Trump loses, maybe seasonal living in Costa Rica.
If Trump loses I’m considering part time living in Peru (but mostly for personal reasons) and maybe eventually Costa Rica.
