In show business, there is no such thing as bad publicity. Methinks that whoever is pulling Matt's strings wants his site in the news from all kinds of sources, and it is working.

Don’t follow the Drudge anymore....don’t care a fig about him
The MSM is holding nothing back in regards to Trump. That means there are no easy “scoops” (e.g., like Clinton sodomizing Lewinski) for Drudge to report.
On the other hand, the MSM is probably extra careful about letting any negative stories about Democrats leak out to people like Drudge and, no-one wants to be the next Seth Rich.
So, Drudge is relegated to re-reporting whatever the MSM is spewing. You have to work to not see that propaganda. Who needs to go to Drudge to re-see it.

He takes other reporters' work, writes a catchy headline and does a link.

I don’t know what has went wrong. I have a hard time believing that Matt would just jettison his principles over a personal slight however I’ve been surprised that others who I thought were long term solid foundational conservatives who have done so. Its almost as if someone has body snatched Drudge or there is some other consideration. Someone could have something on him and that I believe is why many are so vehemently Never Trump. The media has something on them. Romney I believe in particular is not as stainless steel as a family man as he has appeared. There is a lot of blackmail that goes on in politics and many of these people behave like people desperate to prove something far beyond what any reasonable person who simply disagrees on style and tweets would need to do. Maybe its them just being small but I doubt it.

I deleted Drudge a few months back when someone here accused the site of reporting Doom Porn only.
I finally had enough, sad to see Matt turn, he’s was one of my ‘go to’ sites since Rush first mentioned him back in the 90’s when he was new to Syracuse.
Sure I go to other sites mentioned here but their biased in what I want to hear...back in the day I trusted Drudge because I believed him to be a righteous truth telling crusader.

Drudge isn’t doing anything wrong. Drudge is a click whore, he never cared about conservative politics. I don’t care for the site and stopped frequenting it long ago.
I don’t see the big deal. It’s the internet, go where you want, don’t go where you don’t.
