I havent come across the Mask Nazis yet.
its an extortion racket, brought to us by the inventor of the computer virus protection extortion racket people should be protesting, tar and feathering politicians
Has anyone been in a verbal (or other) confrontation with a customer or store employee regarding your refusal to wear a mask?
I agree, planned.
In my part of Alabama? The cops know better. In fact, I’m noticing a lot more people going without them than with them and retailers aren’t even putting people at the door like they used to.
Not in Tuscaloosa. I’m in the Bama parent page and college kids have received citations for not wearing masks. I can’t share more info because I got the info in confidence.
It’s ridiculous.
In Houston, the police said they would not be issuing citations.
I live in ground zero, NYC..Staten Island.
I rode in an apartment building elevator with a cop without my mask on at the heights of this thing when you weren’t supposed to be out except for emergencies.
I told him I was just visiting a friend. We made small chat and parted ways.
Have been in and out of a million delis without my mask even when the sign said you had to wear one.
But i’m a night time type of guy and and perhaps things are more lax when less people are around
Well, in ‘academic’ settings, where college students have absolutely no say as long as they’re on a private university’s campus, it’s going to happen. The Overlords of Academia have been a collective of Bolsheviks for over a century. If you’ve ever set foot on a college campus with a clear mind, they’re obvious from the first encounter. I don’t know what is more repulsive: their arrogant superiority, or their hive-like mentality.
Ive been harshly reminded to put mine on when I (genuinely) forgot it was down.
Once Id been in the bathroom, once Id been snap chatting and forgot to put it back up.
Both times I apologized and complied. I did not appreciate the harshness But I didnt want them to think Id done it on purpose. I respect the right of a private establishment to have their rules.
I oppose the government imposing them. But that makes me more sympathetic to the employees who did not sign up to be mask police bit are now expected to be little deputies.
yes, Starbucks and Buffalo Wild Wings refused to serve me if I didn’t wear a mask. So I just went somewhere else.
It’s happening off campus in Tuscaloosa.
Last I knew Cuomo in NYS was still refusing to give out that info when it comes to private citizens.
He has gone after a number of businesses, however.
From last month...
There’s likely a reason Cuomo won’t release info on stats for private citizens. And my bet is it has to do with skin color.

Was at Winn Dixie with my girl about a month ago. We were not wearing a mask. A karen comes up to us and bullies us about not wearing a mask. We both told her to basically shut up! She scurried down an isle never to be seen again.
Also, a number of folks Upstate have been caught breaking mandatory quarantine, including confirmed positives, sometimes breaking quarantine on multiple occasions.
AFAIK, not a single quarantine breaker has been fined. Not one.
Meanwhile, Cuomo lays waste to healthy people and small biz.
No. Haven’t received one. God help the person who attempts to ticket me for it.
I have. I walked into a car repair shop a few weeks ago. Some Karen guy immediately runs up to me and starts yelling at me about a mask.
I told him that masks are useless and he left the shop. Then, amazingly, one of the mechanics starts yelling for the manager. “Scott, SCOTT. you’ve got a problem. There’s a guy out here without a mask” SCOTT.” Amazingly, the mechanic wasn’t wearing a mask.
The manager came out and said I needed a mask. I told him that it was kicking off my asthma. (Which it does)
“OK, how can I help you?”
A few weeks ago, I went to the Post Office. I was the only one there and didn’t put on a mask. The clerks were maskless behind plexiglass. As I walked up, she put her mask half on and proceeded to tell me I needed one. I said “Why? Yours isn’t even on correctly.”
She rings a bell and yells for the supervisor.
