We already have an inside look at what it would be like if social workers showed up at police calls. It's called CPS (Child Protective Services).
Most CPS caseworkers don't investigate REAL child abuse because it's far too dangerous and politically incorrect. Instead CPS is merely a tool for divorced soccer moms to persecute their ex spouses (fathers) while on visitation with their children.
How many times have you read an article about ACTUAL child abuse and how it is too late because the child is dead. Then it comes out that CPS had been called many times but nothing was done about it. This is especially the case where the biomom had custody and the boyfriend did the deed with biomom either looking or oblivious.
My sister has her MSW. She totally would agree with you. She has said, CPS is the most corrupt agency in EVERY state.”
Yep. My husband’s ex-shrew was once a CPS worker. Liberal, holier-than-thou man-hater. Worst parent in the world. No rules or boundaries for her own children. Youngest, almost 18 yr old reading at a 4th grade level. Total educational neglect with all three yet her community thinks she’s a saint that has “risen from the ashes of divorce like a phoenix” (TM)
Befriends her children; doesn’t parent them.
She’s now working for a foster parent agency as a counselor to foster parents on how to parent. You can’t make this stuff up.
What are social workers going to do when someone abusive decides to punish a kid by burning their feet in a frying pan (this has happened!)? Write a report? Poor kid.
In such a case, I might even forgive a cop for beating the crap out of the perp with a billy club. Crime of passion.
So, will two social workers get ambushed, sitting in their car in the street?
Probably easier targets, with no guns.
My thought exactly, Bob. Once the feral thugs begin shooting these sainted “social workers” in the head, who’ll the lefties clamour for next? Career counselors? Image consultants? Veterinarians?
So you call 911 when someone is breaking into you house and you hear “We’re sorry. The Social Worker assigned to your area had an appointment at the nail salon. Will get back to you when appointment is done. Thank you and have a great day. Bye”
The “silver bullet strategy”. Accuse the husband of child abuse / spousal abuse. She gets:
* 100% custody of the kids
* permission to kick him out of the house
* a halt on evictions and foreclosures for 90 days
* free legal aid in the divorce
* extra money / support in many cases, citing said emotional harm
* the ability to ruin his reputation, in courts that do NOT use the guilty beyond a reason of a doubt standard
they use the lower preponderance of the evidence standard, and she has legal aid while he may not know the importance of fighting it
* in California, his entire pension, once found guilty, along with additional support
* priority for finding new housing on the government dime without him knowing where
You just described every action hub’s ex-shrew took.
Add: Alienate children from dad by poisoning their minds and trashing his character. Obstruct all parenting time/visitation with dad.
Immediately date every Tom, Dick and Harry, allowing them to have unfettered access to children and have said children call mom’s flav of the week “dad” while likewise punishing dad for moving on.
I witnessed this tried on a family member after his divorce.
