Good morning. Not much going on here-clean up. Going to order seeds for next spring now. Also need some winter wheat for planting in October. Lemons are finally starting to turn yellow.

I have 2 turmeric plants a little over 3 ft. tall. Such pretty leaves.

I planted some Minnesota midget melons this year. I started them in a container and transplanted later. First time I actually got vines to last long enough for the fruit to mature.

Very strange thing happened. I got yellow smooth melons bigger than the usual midgets and not a flavorful. I got smaller melons(usual size) that had netting and more flavor.

Since these were seeds straight from their packet, there should have been no difference.

I’ve been up all night, so signing off to catch some ZZZs. Have a great weekend. God Bless.

Planted Minnesota Midgets and we got quite a crop. Because they ripen almost all at once, I did give some away. Did get about 40 melons from eight plants that I started from seed.

Next year, I'm gonna stagger the planting so that one batch is two or 3 weeks behind.

The melons were awesome in taste and texture. Pretty easy to eat two a day.

Uh-oh . . . You never should have planted those mysterious Chinese seeds.
