In this incredibly refreshing, breath of fresh, air interview, Ric Grennell talks about the need for pols to just communicate directly with people now.

Some great UN jabs and anecdotes too.

The media isn’t the only one who wants to keep secrets. The government, politicians, others with a motive.

True!
The soapbox had it’s place hundreds of years ago.
Then, people collected information, condensed into a news article, and printed on newspaper for wide distribution and circulation.

Why do we need these journalist middlemen to interpret what is said?

We have to question whether the world would be better off without them all together

I remember the first time I began to see merit in Shakespeare’s observation about lawyers. At that time the media's validity was not in question. I never thought the day would evolve to where we began to express the same sentiment for media we did for lawyers. In fact, deep down inside I sincerely believe the lawyers corrupted the media. But, it is what it is.

This explains it well; a reporter REPORTS the news whilst the journalist STARS in the news.

The reporter provides the news, the journalist provides the narrative. Today's media provides an enormous amount of narrative and very little news.
