Ashley Scott and Renee Walters have a dream – and if you’re not black, it doesn’t involve you. The two Georgia women are founding an all-black town in central Georgia to shake off 400 years of oppressive racism. Their inspiration is the fictional Wakanda in the Black Panther. Unwittingly, though, they’re repeating an old American tradition of utopian communitarianism.
According to Yahoo! News, Scott and Walters inspired 19 black families to purchase 96 acres of land for their “safe haven” (hat tip: Breitbart). The Yahoo article opens with a rote recitation of how awful America is (“the nation continues to confront the toxic legacy of slavery and Jim Crow”). Only then does it get to the actual story, which is Scott’s and Walters’s plan:
[T]wo Georgia women have come together to build a community that will be a place free of oppression, “a tight-knit community for our people to just come and breathe.”
They are calling it Freedom, Georgia, and draw their inspiration from Wakanda, the fictional comic-book country that was the setting for the movie “Black Panther.”
Ashley Scott, a realtor from Stonecrest, Ga., who was driven to seek therapy by her reaction to the shooting death of Ahmaud Arbery, a young Black man jogging in a white neighborhood, said that after several sessions she realized that her problem was 400 years of racial oppression and trauma dating back to the establishment of slavery in North America.
“We are dealing with systemic racism,” she wrote in an op-ed for Blavity last month. “We are dealing with deep-rooted issues that will require more than protesting in the streets.”

Brilliant.
They might have been better off to endure the systemic racism as noted at the link below. With enough money to buy 96 acres they maybe could have gotten a place near the obxxx family:

“driven to seek therapy”?! And if “whitey” comes within 100 yards of this black utopia...what happens? This is the solution to racism? Racism x 100?
Well, on the one hand, they are pushing the narrative of systemic racism and how America is so bigoted and racist.
On the other hand, they want to go live among like minded people, and presumeably are spending their own money to create what sounds like a gated community sort of existence. And in that community, they will presumeably be shielded from the problems of ghettos in major cities.
What could possibly go wrong.
No need for a new town. They could just move to Sparta. I think the last whites left there in the 80’s. It is a technological and intellectual utopia.
“Segregation now. Segregation forever.” George Wallace would of loved the irony in all of this!
Neither "race" was ready to integrate so, after being forced together, hostilities developed.
Segregation is the answer.

There’s an entire continent of real Wakandas. It’s called Africa, and very few black people are trying to get there. Most are trying to move to the whitest place they can get to. Reality is a b-word.

So what would happen should a white or an Asian or an Hispanic family happen to move into this town? Maybe the town elders would burn a cross on the new family’s front lawn.
Oops! Can’t do that. That’s a KKK thing. Maybe they could burn an old car instead. No, wait. Why not just burn the new family’s car?
That should be an option. In fact I wish them nothing but success. Ain’t America great?
But I wonder what the response would be if a bunch of rednecks bought a few hundred acres, and created a whites only community?
(Not denigrating rednecks, BTW. I think they they’re the sort of folks who could actually make a go of it!)
Bottom line they’re seeking safety, security and a well run community. Well now how ‘white’ of them to desire such. I wish them great success but shouldn’t this be the goal for All communities? Racism is the false canard. It’s godless leftism and it’s political rot that’s poison to our society.

Awesome. I can’t wait to see how this town of all black people lead by all black people works out. As if we don’t have enough horrible black lead cities with high black populations in America.
But go ahead, try it again. Maybe it will be “different this time”. LOL
