I’m a guy, by the way.

I do follow Q on other venues (Praying Medic and others), but I don’t generally post in the Q threads on FR for two reasons.

1. FR is largely a toxic environment for Q’isms. It reminds me of the way this place was back in ‘16 during the Trump/Cruz wars. I don’t like the forced segregation of Q discussions, but I do respect Jim Robinson’s wishes as it’s his site, and I love it for enough other reasons that I can excuse this minor issue. I try to avoid getting sucked into flame wars. I don’t appreciate name calling and mud slinging directed at other users. They don’t advance their position by throwing out terms like Q-tard or Qult.

2. The FR Q threads tend to be bloated with information-free chit-chat. I stay clear for the same reason that I don’t bother with other chit-chat threads (like the toilet licker thread).

I’m a watcher and a waiter, though my patience is wearing thin. I find the Q phenomenon fascinating, though, and I hope the storm comes to full fruition very soon.

It’s important to understand that Q (he/she/they as the case may be) are humans like all of us, and occasionally make mistakes or misread complex situations as they evolve. Case in point, cited often by the anti-Q crowd, is “trust Sessions”.

A certain amount of faith is necessary.

Domestic cats occasionally go racing around the house seemingly having lost their minds, which animal behaviorists like Konrad Lorenz dubbed “vacuum activity”. In the absence of real threats to avoid and real prey to hunt, their little brains finally get bored and kick into fantasy mode to fill the void. The information-free chitchat on this thread serves the same purpose, I think. In the absence of a proper stimulus (i.e. Q drop) to stimulate discussion, someone starts commenting on an unrelated topic and it triggers the “Q analysis response”.

I’d prefer less of that and more speculation on the issues raised by Q or information-free theories that can be kicked around like it’s Saturday afternoon in the dorm room, but to each his/her own.

The banter, the chit-chat as you call it, is probably because we are a relatively small group. Kind of like family. But we’re that part of the family that, at Thanksgiving dinner, we sit in the other room on the folding table that was set up for Uncle Bagster and his followers. It’s where the kool kids hang out.

At our special table, we occasionally talk about getting electrocuted or struck by lightning, or our favorite recipes, but we also dive into the thermodynamic discussions of Q, which the others don’t wish to discuss at the “main” table.

I know that it can be a bit of a chore to separate the wheat from the chaff at times, but I think that’s a byproduct of group mentality. Or rather, hive mentality.

I’m as guilty as anyone of sliding off into different subjects when the Q stuff is not apparent to me, but that’s how I am in real life too. I’m the inadvertent subject changer at times, just how my scatter-brain works.
