The 2,000-year-old remains of a dog with its fur still intact have been found at a Roman fort.
The rare find was made at Vindolanda, Hexham, near Hadrian's Wall in Northumberland, and has been sent for analysis to determine the dog's breed... It must be Wallter, because one thing about these old guys.. they never leave the house without their hair.

Wish I’d had the chance to get to Vindolanda during my two trips to the UK, but there’s never enough time to do all the things you want to do. Too old now. I’ll have to settle for news articles instead.
