We had a version of the same problem in the U.S. a few years back. Use the DEAD version of the virus . . . NOT the weakened version. It isn’t as effective, but you don’t cause polio with it.
P.S. for those who do not know me. I am NOT a medical doctor. I am a comic book mad scientist doctor.

That was the Salk vaccine, developed by Jonas Salk--and that's what I was given. The Sabin oral vaccine, developed by Albert Sabin, was phased in during the Kennedy administration.

Agreed. Somebody made a stupid decision about which vaccine to use and now people are suffering the consequences of that decision. None of this would be an issue with the third generation platform, but we have to see whether that’s actually viable.

So if you are already immune to polio, you won’t be adversely affected by this vaccine which uses a live attenuated polio virus. In which case, you likely didn’t need the vaccine in the first place. Conversely, if you have no polio antibodies, this vaccine will give you polio. Sounds like a problem.
