How funny........our first Bullie would run circles around a tree in the front yard then come in an sleep for 2 days, her offspring was a beautiful girl and our son took her for a walk and ended up carrying her home.......she was overheated and we layed her on a cold tile floor, wrapped wet towels around her......thought we were going to lose her.....thank God we didn’t. She stayed in the house except for potty time......her offspring was born with so many birth defects it was unbelievable. Cleft palate, small, club feet but we didn’t give up....4 weeks doc sewed up his mouth 375 stitches.....he still had a little hole that would sometime make him gag on his food or snot would come out one side....he never got over 20 pounds but we got him to 9 years. He was our life and it killed us to lose him but he died peacefully in our arms. That mother, daughter and grandson gave us some of the best years of our lives........sorry to go on. It’s been 16 years since we lost him.......he was our last Bulldog. His mother and grandmother both died at 10 from congestive heart failure.....precious dogs
Poor dog.
One of my 3 rescue cats was a total feral-the other was an abandoned pet-you’d never know that one was ever a feral now, the way they love people-my 3d rescue was a tiny, fragile runt kitten 6 weeks old and not expected to live-he weighed 12 oz-no one wanted him-I thought he deserved a chance, so took him to my vet, got him the antibiotics, etc he needed to get well, took him home and took care of him. A year later, he is a sleek healthy 8 lb. indoor black cat-playful and affectionate to humans as only a hand raised animal is-an animal that wants to live deserves to have that chance, I think...
Miley Cyrus is self-serving loon most of the time-but she did an admirable thing by giving the dog a good home-even an idiot is capable of a good deed now and then...
My dawg was a rescue dawg, my comment was aimed at smiley virus
Miley’s not my cup of tea but she’ll probably give the pup a blessed life and that’s a good thing. Sweet doggo.
“She earns a lot of bad press, this time she did a good thing.”
I agree. She got it right this time.
>>...beware, theyre not called the lazy mans dog for nothing. They dont do overexertion very well...<<
Now that’s a dog for me! What about coat (oily, shed?), skin problems, drooling, breath, medical problems, longevity? Good with children or strangers?
Thanks!
The dog finally done good
I just know she will shave the dog fur off and then put tattoos all over the dog.
Megadittos.
Well, they both like to let their tongues just hang out, so they have that in common.
I’m not going to lie, they are high maintenance dogs.....yes, they drool, fart, itch and they love everybody. I kept little children at the time we got ours in the late 80’s and those dogs loved those kids. They tend to get cherry eye which requires surgery but even after all that, the enjoyment, laughs and love they give is worth every penny.......;)
