Will a wrongful death lawsuit be filed by families of two dead men? Against Mr. Kyle Rittenhouse?
I think that families could file a civil lawsuit no matter what happens during the criminal trial...
How much would a 17 year old have in his bank account? So the families would try to go after assets of Mr. Kyle's parents?
Of course there will be a civil case filed. It will mean nothing unless he is found guilty in the criminal case. And that is highly unlikely.

Haven’t seen much of anything about their part in all this - if any. Were they supportive of him leaving with a weapon and going across state lines into a riot area? If so, they could possibly be a target for damages.
I lived on The Rock for 3 years back in thd 80s. Most if it was as Red as Idaho then.

O.J. was found not guilty and lost a civil trial.
Wow.
Ah, Reagann won NY and CA in the 1980s
It was a different country my FRiend
Lin Wood has secured one of the most powerful litigators in the country to represent Kyle, who in turn has secured the voluntary assistance of some of the very best defense and trial attorneys in the nation to assist him.
Lin Wood has also promised to pay all the litigation expenses not covered by donations; and many of the other attorneys are also working for free.
The prosecution doesn’t have a prayer. In excess of $50,000 has already been raise, and I suspect that number will reach at least $500,000 within a few days.
Lin Wood is now representing Rittenhouse pro bono.
His legal needs are covered and he will be the next Nick Sandmann.
CNN etc. are looking at yet another set of massive defamation settlements.
Fair abouts turn play, Kyle can sue the families of the demons who tried to kill him.
Haven’t you seen HuffPo? 2 choir boys and a future saint.

Of course. Are you saying theres ANY parallels between the two cases?
Fair abouts turn play,
Indeed it is.
which one is going to sue him the one who originally attacked him? the one who attacked him with a skateboard? or the one who pointed a gun at him?
ROFL
Because all I saw was a scared kid running from a bunch of thugs trying to kill him who acted in self defense.
lol people are making such a big deal about the state line thing.. um.. dude when you live NEAR a state line you cross it all the time!
Uh....OJ....hello.
From what I know about the shootings, every one of the three appears to be a "clean" shot (in that each was a legitimate act of self-defense).
I live only miles away from manhattan and brooklyn and no kidding, I dont care if they burn to the ground.
But you come to the south shore of staten island with that garbage and you should call your mom and say youre never coming home.
I think most would defend their homes and neighborhoods with the same sentiment as you have.
But there's an enormous difference between reacting defensively when someone approaches your home or your car and driving twelve miles across a state line to the scene of an expected riot.
Rittenhouse was purportedly in the neighborhood to defend a local business; there is at least one YouTube video out there that shows him in front of the business with several armed men, some of whom are on the rooftop.
(If a friend or a family member asked Rittenhouse to defend a local business, then this may have very well been a noble thing to do.)
But there was a point where Rittenhouse was no longer in front of the business but was next seen running from someone who was throwing what was apparently a Molotav cocktail at him. How he got from A to B is the million dollar question. Because if he set off on his own away from that business with his AR-15 slung over his shoulder, then he set himself up. As I pointed out last night, even the cops in these riot zones don't walk around alone with long arm rifles because they know they're a target.
That is true, but the laws and jurisdictions change. Crossing a border can increase culpability.
That's kinda what I was trying to explain to some on another thread. The bravado kinda drowned out the wisdom.
You carry a weapon to a hot spot and openly carry it...you'd better have some bank. Right or wrong...you'll drop an easy $20k on atty fees to defend oneself. For starters.
If the defendant is found innocent then no money to the victim.
My understanding is that OJ was able to skate on most of the money he was supposed to give to the Goldman's. So all it did was put that family through years more aggravation trying to squeeze blood out of a turnip.
He just shot and killed some white people.
What’s the big deal?
Or, as someone might put it - “What difference does it make?”
/s off
Oh I know, but I just think it’s funny that people keep making it sound ODD that he drove from out of state! um.. he drove 20 minutes. In Houston where I grew up, 20 minutes is how long it took to GET to the freeway to start your journey! LOL
