Ripe for a cash speculator.
Wow, what a powerful video!
I like the part where he shows DeBlasio saying the prison population is reduced. That’s because you let them out idiot.
Always disliked the place even back in the 70’s/80’s but drove in there from eastern Long Island to see punk/new wave bands from UK about once a month for years . Had no other choice . Best thing I ever did was leave LI and NY for good in 1985 for Japan which has been very good to me .
We live almost two hours away & visited NYC In November. Havent been there since...We took the local bus to Port Authority & safely walked to Rockefeller Center to buy tickets for the Christmas Pageant at Radio City Music Hall. We had lunch at Carmines and walked all over. The city was mobbed and we talked to Europeans on vacation as we waited in line at Radio City. There are a lot of commuters from here who took the Trans Bridge daily busses into NYC. I guess theyre working from home or out of work.
He is awesome. Love his vids. Always right on point.
Lived in CT from 1976 ‘till 1992. Business took me into NYC frequently, so I saw the changes from the late ‘70’s under Mayor Ed Koch (reasonably competent) thru Dinkins (almost as bad as de Blasio). Then we moved to the Midwest and other than flying thru JFK or Newark we rarely saw much of NYC. That is until a couple of years ago, we bid on a visit NYC trip at a fund raiser and were the highest bidder, Our NYC package included airline fare, mid-Manhattan hotel, Broadway show, upscale restaurant dinner a three night stay in NYC. We were impressed, it was reasonably clean, we visited the 9-11 Memorial, Grand Central station which I commuted thru hundreds of times which has been restored and very impressive. Basically we were tourists and did many of the same things tourists do in NYC. We are pleased that we got to see NYC (probably for the last time) in a favorable light. It will be years before this city will recover (if ever) from this current blight.
I have relatives that are part of the gentrification of NE DC. I am laughing at them now. They all are thinking about leaving...
