CORONAVIRUS is not as deadly as was thought and the public fear that is stopping the country returning to normal is unfounded, a leading expert says. Carl Heneghan, Professor of Evidence-based medicine at Oxford University, called for the government to intervene and "proactively reassure the population".
He said exaggerated fears of Covid have led to "people going about their daily lives misunderstanding and overestimating their risk”.
And he said introducing local lockdowns could do more harm than good by forcing people into their homes, potentially infecting other vulnerable people that live with them.
Professor Heneghan - whose work led to a lowering of the official death toll after he revealed Covid deaths were being counted even if someone had subsequently died of other causes - spoke as he released new data revealing the infection fatality rate had fallen from 2-3 per cent in the height of the pandemic to 0.3.
He said if the downward trend continues the pandemic may end up no worse than a bad flu season.
Reasons for the fall, he said, could not only be down to the consequences of lockdown because cases are continuing to drop despite society opening up.

You may not like the answers to the questions posed, but the questions posed do have answers. They’re no great mystery. They’re no evidence of any grand conspiracy. Just vaguely accusatory nonsense based on misunderstanding, misinformation, and fear.
If you have any actual facts to add that would correct something I’ve said, please feel free to post them along with authoritative references backing it up. I’ve used multiple references, such as the National Institutes of Health, the CDC, and published study data. So far this is just sticking fingers in your ears and yelling “LA LA LA LA LA”.

Ugh... your Chicago link is about a repurposed warehouse that was in anticipation. Frankly, there were thousands of extra beds in converted convention centers, and so forth, that went virtually unused. Oh sure, the newsies loved to race around and show trucks moving the sick and the dying. Many of those who were sick in NY, as well as dead, were re-positioned: first they moved the sick to nursing homes to die... and then they moved the dead to hospitals to be declared dead. If all these morgues overflowed.... why were virtually none of the extra beds.... at the cost of millions.... ever used????
Exactly.... the average person who died was almost 80 years old.... am I right? Hell... in PA weren’t almost 70% of the deaths in nursing homes?

We have been bamboozled by the government in the biggest hoax in 200+ years. God forbid that anyone should ask questions or draw on simple logic.
They’ve been throwing out their statements since February, and then refuting their own statements, so we know that 50% of everything they’ve said are lies. If we DIDN’T question them, we would be wrong.
The average life expectancy in hospice and Nursing homes is 6 months or less. Not only did they jam the Kung flu sick into those homes, anyone who died there was labeled as Covid. In fact, half the deaths to date I believe are ‘presumed’ Covid.
Of course this has all ginned up and driven into the ground by the panic peddlers, and leftist who turned it into a political weapon.
With the biggest most important election in American history within sight. The Democrat rioters, looters, the China virus...None of this was a mistake or coinkydinky happenstance.

With that being said, there has not been a single player who has contracted the Covid.........
We had one player along with his wife and daughter who tested positive the week before the league started so his team was put on a two week suspension. The following week the player and family were tested again at two different facilities and both tests came back negative so the team suspension was lifted.
The two sons of a player on my team contracted the Covid but with very little symptoms. Even tho he had continued contact with the sons, the player never contracted it and tested negative.........
What lives? They have no lives.

Let's be honest, in February and early March we had all seen the response by the ccp to Wuhan. I'm as FluBro as they come, but at the time we didn't know anything about this bug. But as early as May it was apparent that it wasn't worth shutting down the economy over.
Your paranoia notwithstanding, I’ve been providing facts backed by authoritative sources to correct some fearmongering so that people will get behind President Trump’s vaccine initiative. President Trump knows that all the shutdowns, masks, social distancing, pervasive fear (drummed up by the media and the Democrats) and everything else that’s been harming the economy all ends once a safe and effective vaccine is deployed.
I support the president in his efforts to end COVID-19 and get the economy back on track. You seem more interested in drumming up fear which will prolong COVID-19 and all the masks and shutdowns too. I don’t know whether you’re a stupid person or not, but that sure is a stupid way to act. Stop drumming up fear with made-up fake news and start getting on board with President Trump.
