A radio host in Cleveland has been fired for using an offensive term to describe Democratic vice presidential nominee Sen. Kamala Harris of California.
During WTAM radios broadcast Wednesday of the Cleveland Indians game against the Pittsburgh Pirates, host Kyle Cornell used the term colored to describe Harris during a cut-in.

And the United Negro College Fund changed much later to "UNCF" without words. (not being courageous, were they?)
Remember "A Mind is a Terrible Thing To Waste" on TV ads?
Too bad is should have been It is a Terrible Thing To Waste a Mind" to have been correct.
Chronicle of Philanthropy wrote on June 5, 2013: One of the best-known slogans in public-service advertising is getting a tweak as the UNCF, formerly known as United Negro College Fund, rolls out a new campaign... The group introduced the tagline "A mind is a terrible thing to waste" in 1972 to publicize its efforts to help African-Americans obtain graduate and undergraduate degrees and close a persistent gap with other groups in college completion. The new tagline, "A mind is a terrible thing to waste but a wonderful thing to invest in" ....to stress the importance of investing in higher education for young African-Americans to provide them more secure financial futures.
Yes.
Song lyric from the 70s, sung by a

To find a job is like a haystack needle
Cause where he lives they don’t use

“noone complains”
I finally looked this one up after substituting “nobody” for the last 50 years. It is, in fact, two words. No one is correct and no-one is a rare alternative. I learned something today. Thanks for the motivation.
Actually, there are much better things for society to do, such as beating the CCP virus and getting our economy back to full speed. But so many of us would rather engage in this vicious form of navel gazing.
The left forces everyone to use their language. They demand you say “of color” instead of “colored”. Stupid.
I really pi$$ them off when they say “pro-choice” and I say “oh, you mean pro-abortion”.
I guess referring to her as a Ho would also be unacceptable.
If they could just stick to describing people by their character, accomplishments, etc., instead of their race, gender, etc., that would make more sense. But it doesn’t go with their identity politics.

Thats exactly what Martin Luther King was trying to say. But King is so yesterday. The race-card players like AOC are calling the shots now.
now this is stupid. It was the hispanics who insisted we all use ‘people of color’ to describe minorities and the blacks bought into it 100%. So if we say ‘colored people’ instead of ‘people of color’ it’s racist? seems awful nitpicky
Did he call her a “clean and articulate black woman”?
Smart people should try not to fall into their trap.
I cant think of any person more deserving of the colored term than Kamala. Shes white, brown, black and who knows what else.
Well, maybe Tiger Woods was more deserving.
“National association of Colored People.” How can that be offensive? Oh, I get it. Anything a White says or does, or doesn’t say or doesn’t do, is branded raciste.
Figgers.
“colored BAD, person of color GOOD”
Yes. “Colored person” = the death penalty.
“Person of color” = A O.K.
Surely everyone can understand this logic.
What an asinine country we have turned into!!!!
Remind me, didn’t a lot of Democrats call her the first woman of color to be nominated as a V.P.?
So “colored woman” is a racial slur and “woman of color” is just fine? I think calling attention to her in any negative or neutral way is viewed by some as a racial slur. It is not the words as much the need for the left to feel everyone is praising them.
