I am not a fan of Bezos, nor am I an Amazon customer,,,
However as a lifelong bookkeeper/accounting person I would have advised him long before new & the moving trucks would hve been there more than a month ago.
Total NIMBY move.

The decision has already been made and Covid19 has nothing to do with it. The dissolution of law and order along with the business tax made that a programmed decision.
We will now see how quickly Seattle devolves into Detroit
Black Lives Matter in Seattle is now demanding that homeowners willingly give up their property to Black people as a form of reparations because theyre coming for it one way or the other.
Protesters called out Amazon employees for gentrification of their neighborhood
Bad idea. Amazon employee Are mostly liberals. They would turn suburb liberal
Dont move these liberals to Tennessee.
> Seattles new payroll tax.
What’s the problem? Doesn’t he want to pay higher taxes like a good liberal?
They support it they should live with it
The avowed socialist is not really any further left than the rest of the city council in Seattle.
They are determined to wreck themselves.
I was wondering when Bezos would finally get a clue and get out of there. Hope he is not thinking of moving back to New York. That would be like fleeing Hiroshima for Nagasaki. Same mushroom cloud, different city.
When it’s time to move, move - don’t talk.
Bezos is a businessman and Seattle is hostile to businesses. The writing is on the wall. People and businesses are going to flee the city and Seattle is going to come after Amazon to make up the deficit.
“Kshama Sawant”
Sounds like something you have to take heavy doses of penicillin for.
Moving out of Seattle..OOPS!
They are building another office right across the street from Expedia. Construction on that building has completely stalled out. The exterior is finished, but very little progress on the interior that I can see from the street.
A very large building is under construction just two blocks from Expedia, directly in front of the Bellevue Transit Center. I do not know the owner, but I assume it's Amazon, because they own another large piece of land on the north side of the Transit Center.
If all these buildings really do belong to Amazon, their political and business confidence in Bellevue and Washington state is badly misplaced.
Bellevue - which is 40% foreign born - voted 30% for a Socialist Congressional candidate in 2018!
Washington state has no income tax. But, after the COVID Recession, it is just a matter of time before state government - massively Democrat - will start to tax the wealthy, then the affluent, and eventually everyone.
Hell, about three quarters of the Seattle rioters will be out of their day jobs!!!!!
Won’t happen. Bezos doesn’t care about his people.
They should leave the state.
