Australia harshly implemented the rules and that's why after 6 weeks, they loosened it up.

The key thing is killing off or reducing the transmission in 6 weeks of strict masks and social distancing -- then you can open your economy up as in Denmark and Australia.

Thanks for that site Oatkahttps://covidusa.net/ it shows that so far 1.55% of the population has been infected. Let's say that's only 20% of the read infections, so about 8% of the population infected - that's still a far, far way away from any "herd immunity" of 60%

Look at countries that already experienced this and won against the wuflu with masks - such as Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Slovakia, Poland, Greece, etc. etc. etc.

Masks were required everywhere mid-June. Second highest compliance anywhere in the USA. And as of mid-August, IT HASN’T DONE SQUAT!

The “rules” were not followed? What rules are those? And if some rule isn’t followed in California, which has the second highest compliance (slightly behind New York), then just how are masks supposed to work anywhere else?

You cannot compare countries unless you also account for different protocols, medicines used, strains of virus, etc. We’re discussing the USA. And masks HAVE been tried, and have FAILED spectacularly!

Cases on an upward trend with NO CHANGE since the mask order went into effect.

Look at your trend line of cases - they trended downwards 3 weeks after end of June rules implementation

California instituted masks on 18 June. Here is how new cases have responded:

The new case average peaked 25 July - 5 weeks later. Not two. But California also had data collection errors reported at the same time they "peaked". They are now showing an increase again, and added 12,290 cases on 11 August (https://www.latimes.com/projects/california-coronavirus-cases-tracking-outbreak/).

They had 3754 new cases on 18 June. 12,290 cases on 11 August - 8 weeks later!

Want to explain again how masks are working in California?

At some point, cases WILL peak in California. And then come down. That happens EVERYWHERE. Cases climb. If nothing is done, they peak and decline. With control measures, you may FLATTEN THE CURVE, but you don't stop the virus.

Suppose you are having 3,000 cases a day when you require masks. And suppose masks work to prevent transmission. Incubation time is 5 days. Almost all within 10 days. So within 2 weeks, you should see cases drop. Doesn't happen.

Mask-wearers do perform an important public service. By wearing their mask to help calm their anxiety and fear, they venture outside around other people. In so doing and because the masks do little to nothing to stop transmission of The Virus, these people participate in its spread, shorten the infection curve from what it otherwise would be if they stayed locked away, and help build widespread immunity.

This why mask-wearers wear their masks and it has nothing to do with physical health. By following scientists instead of "the science" and dutifully wear their mask, they ease their fear (i.e., their adverse mental health condition which has paralyzed them for these many months).
