You can’t protect people from a virus or sickness in general.
If this were a flu you would not hear one word of this.
So we are now at the point where we are going to cancel the whole fall season of sports and wait until 2021. What happens if this virus is something we have to live with year to year, then what?

I still think a Republican landslide in November would return life in the country back to normal.
The people in this country who still have the mindset to protect and save our country are dying out and most of what is left are way too old to do it...
I feel for the future of my grandchildren....
This is going to DESTROY football careers from college to pros what an utter shame for these college kids!! The seniors this is their last chance to shine for the pros and it will be lost!!!
Thankfully, I never became a big fan even for the two sports that I enjoyed watching. I never watched all of the games each season, I didn’t buy any of the memorabilia, etc. When I was in college, I attended two football games because I went with some friends. I watched maybe three college football games on TV (again, with family and friends). Left to my own devices, I find other things to do such build things, or expand skills that can earn money.
There will be a lot of unemployed coaches, and athletes...............

I’m saying as a long-term goal I think the SEC thinks they could do better on their own.
As far as COVID is concerned it doesn’t seem to be stopping baseball. If a team gets some cases they shut it down for a few games. Athletes at that age are very unlikely to die from it.

I daresay that most on this site would not consider football a ‘career’. Sure, if you’re lucky, you can make serious bank...provided you’re willing to possibly sacrifice your health to do it.
Doing a job...a regular, working job like plumbing, electrical, auto repair, or even working at a landfill...what’s wrong with that?;
We don’t need football...college or pro.
I love college football and basketball, but I could not care less about pro sports....I was completely burned out of pro sports with all the poor-mouthing about how they felt like like “slaves” to the owners while earning millions of dollars for playing the game...The kneeling during OUR National Anthem...
Just the overall attitude of professional sports players...
Notice no masks were ever mandated for flu. Yet all the every year hyper deaths reported over it.

I suspect Disney/ESPN will bully the SEC into not playing. They’ll say postponed to spring now but that is never happening. No way they play two seasons (spring and fall) next year.
Keep your eye on November 3rd. This could be a repeat to an extent like “1968” when the choice words, “Law And Order”, be the theme .
