Schrage told Maria, “Halper was not that engaged up to the point he crossed paths with Page and Christopher Steele’s former MI6 boss Sir Richard Dearlove…”
Schrage said he was surprised that Stefan Halper was making over a half a million dollars for writing reports for the government.
Schrage said the key part, the real smoking gun in this is, “All these tentacles lead back to the “small group” including Stefan Halper in SpyGate, Christopher Steele at the center of Russiagate, Stefan Halper’s FBI handler. None of the Senate has subpoenaed or called these people to talk in four years. I think that is the real smoking gun. How are these people being protected?“
Steven Schrage also added that Halper bragged that David Ignatius was one of his press media contacts. Schrage added, “So it seems to me that this is something that needs to be investigated.”
Schrage then added that he believes there were quite a few Republicans involved in leaking this damning smears against the Trump campaign.

The problem is that these guests rattle off SO many names, familiar and unfamiliar, SO many facts, SO many political trails, SO many connections, SO many legal moves, SO many everything that the mind boggles trying to digest the rapid fire commentary crammed into the short amount of air time allotted.
I could only half absorb anything the guy said...and I'm a keen, discerning listener, at least I think I am.
Therefore, I'm grateful for some of the comments here on this thread that put forth at least a modicum of Carter Page information in a well-understood, succinct manner.

I watched this guy’s interview today and as closely as I listened, I was confused.
He said he told Durham all about it and the most intriguing tidbit was his declaration that some Repubs were involved in this.
I distinctly remember John McCain bringing the papers supposed to be the Steele dossier to some meeting or another, big grin on his face.
I know McCain was part of this, probably begged for the glory of beginning what he hoped would be the beginning of the removal of the duly elected Donald Trump.
Guy intimated there were others involved. Dates all confusing. Leaks to newspapers easily traceable.
Hinted was that there are Republicans involved-which I believe- and soon some names will come out.
Let me guess some Republicans might be involved....MCCain, definitely, may he not hurt to much from the flames.

I still recall Tom Cotton attending a meeting at Sea Island with this bunch a few years back. I was hoping he was just there to give a listen and that he’s a good guy. Perhaps he’s sitting on a lot of information.
