The man that witnessed the assassination would of been only 5 years old in 1865. Amazing that he still remembered.

I was six when Kennedy was assassinated, and my memories are very clear.

The day is burned into my brain. So is the funeral.

9-11, the same and I bet it is for my kids.

Same here. I was about 6 or 7. I remember several scenes and remarks made because everybody kept talking about it for the next what? 10 or 15 years. I recall one of my uncles speaking of JFK’s death. He was saying; “Now Cuba is gonna be coming for us, Russia too!”. I didn’t get what he was talking about till much later.

Just wow. A man living into the age of television and was old enough to remember Lincoln’s assassination. I was alive when Kennedy was shot, but somewhat younger and more worried about my bottle of formula getting cold, methinks.
