Yeah, if you're not a conspiracy nut you should do the census for many, many reasons.

Same as above. A packet was left for me months ago. It has a number in it that allows me to do this on the internet.

I did mine by the mail because I wasn't sure if the internet version would let me skip over the racial questions I never answer.

If you want the government to be color blind your will have to wipe out their data source.

I started to do it online but they asked too many questions. I just wanted to tell them how many people lived at my address and nothing more. They didn’t allow that so I bailed.

We did it months ago. The only thing that tripped us up was when they wanted to know what our ‘ethnicity’ or ‘background’ was - I can’t recall the exact wording. They offered options like ‘German-American, ‘Italian-American’, etc.

There wasn’t enough space for mongrels like us, who have been here so long, to write everything down - so we just wrote, “American’.

I’m sure a lot of other people did the same. It was a really stupid question.

I delayed until they sent me a paper form after 2 notices for doing it online.
I wanted a paper form so I could add my ethnicity as natural born citizen.
In fact everyone in my household is as well.

But they should ask that for certification IMO so I answered it.

Yeah, after checking “white”, which I don’t approve of as they mean “Caucasian”, they make you pick something more specific. I wrote Irish, though a dozen more would have been as accurate.

Now that I think of it, maybe I shouldn’t have simply written, ‘American’.

My people have been here since the 1600s, and maybe I could have gotten me some of that Elizabeth Warren privilege - or some Black privilege. Who knows what was going on, way back there, for any of us?

There’s a lot of power and money tied up in the census for your area.
Any bright person can finesse the weird questions.

I was a crew chief last census. I convinced some hard cases to fill it out.

I answered all of the questions and sent it back after receiving it in the mail. The Reptilians from Nibiru haven’t come knocking, yet. ;)

Seriously, there’s another questionaire from the Census Bureau that is VERY intrusive. “Family ... something”, I think it’s called.
Could never push that on someone.

The regular census is a breeze, and quite reasonable.
