I can't think of a circumstance where bombing a house full of people over a zoning violation is justified. Causing the destruction of the neighborhood as a side effect is even harder to justify.

The author should ask the question more accurately:

Would it be a good idea to stop the Antifa riots in the street out front of a Federal Building by starting a fire and destroying the nearby apartment buildings full of people who had nothing to do with the protests?

Would anybody think that was a good idea?

The MOVE house was not bombed. The police used a flash bang type device to distract snipers so they could rescue the kids kept inside.

But it caused the kerosene etc stored on top of the house and inside to start a fire. Because of the danger to the firemen, the fire got out of control and spread to adjoining row houses.

This cult had kids there some taken from custodial parents. They were fed raw food and often not dressed warmly because the cult leaders said this is how Africans lived. These kids were malnourished.

The cult members harassed and threatened their neighbors, most of whom were middle class blacks. Those living nearby asked the city to do something. The mayor at the time was Black and remained popular because those living in the area knew how bad the group was.

It says a lot that most of the misinformation about what happened is by left wing human rights groups, not locals.
