Long-needed? A new building might be long needed, but a $1.75 Billion building? And I’ve seen cost estimates up to $3 billion in total. Does the building fly? Is it filled with Iron Man suits? Does the building cure cancer?
What on Earth are they doing that this building needs to cost this much?
A new building in DC may make it easier to keep them under watch.
Did not read the thread.
They’re not spending their own money.
The FBI should be shut down, not given a new building.
True, I’ve long since become numb to the crazy costs of fed activities.
I remember Everett Dirksen, the guy who was pilloried for saying: “ a million here, a million there. pretty soon you’re talking real money!”
Don’t forget Texas where they sat in the parking lot and watched their terrorist buddies try to take down the “draw mohammed” conference.
It’s for a building that resembles a wall on the Mexico border.
Because....Democrats.
Let me be clearer...Democrats wrote the funding bill.
Senate Republicans are the ones who included that billion dollars for a new FBI building in the HEALS Act.
Coronavirus Response Additional Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2020 (S. 4320) - The bill, introduced by Senator Richard Shelby, contains a total of $306 billion in discretionary spending.
Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies are appropriated the largest portion of funds at $226 billion but the bill also includes $1.5 billion for NASA, $1.8 billion for a new headquarters for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and ships for the United States Navy.
