It's not bad, but Larry Carlton's solo on Kid Charlemagne is better.
Also, the guitar solos on Bodhisattva — either the live or in studio — are awesome. Denny Dias and Jeff (Skunk) Baxter.
I like Terry Kath’s on 25 or 6 to 4.
Larry Carlton’s solo on Kid Charlemagne is really good...but his solo on “Don’t Take Me Alive” is even better.
Then there’s Rick Derringer’s solo on “Chain Lightning” and his hot slide on “ShowBizKids”.
But the absolute best guitar lead is Drew Zingg’s solo on “Pretzel Logic” done live during Fagen’s “Rock & Soul Revue” - freakin’ unbelievable!
Poor video quality but you’ll get the idea of DZ’s amazing guitar licks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wt2zKrx0iYE
Baxter’s closng solo on Bodhisattva has them all beat.
Gold Teeth II is the one that gets me.
Yes.
