She was showing her temper, funny that she denied any issues in Seattle, that it was totally peaceful. The Dems are deranged. Makes me even madder at wimp Paul Ryan for roadblocking Trump for two years and allowing these carnival idiots to intimidate him.
This loathsome creature represents me in congress. She is the representative for life who took Baghdad Jim McDermotts seat after he retired.
Go into an urban high school and call the role, watch the eyes role hatred your way (because you didn’t pronounce the name correctly), then get back to me. Here is a list of some of my students’ names this semester. See how many you can get right the first time through (I’ve only given you first names, so this should be easy):
Jimena
ShyYonna
Malayjah
Asiya
Maikol
Jamarion
Ramiyah
Dumarius
Shamia
Kaisia
Ala’zja (10 extra points)
Jaymz-Anthony
Tammara (careful, tricky)
Awais
Majalya
Isccas
Oh, I believe you. But I still have people screw it up. And if they pronounce it correctly, they cannot spell it correctly.
Heck, Mississippians pronounce Kosciusko wrong to start with (BTW not my surname, but another Polish name).
Its like a box of incomplete scrabble pieces are tossed on a table, and they try to make “sounds” out of them.
But, the person is a Congress Critter. If you are going to call them out on the “floor” it would make sense to make sure you have their name right.
I am sure. My wife’s family is first generation Polish. I stopped trying the tongue gymnastics a long time ago. Ha Ha.
Although I do know Kosciusko...the best Polish Bakery was on Kosciusko Street. After a few years I just mumbled it like everyone else!
Pramela Paypal.... how hard is that
Why is this news? My name is mispronounced almost every time I meet someone new. Get over it and move on!
Wow, people think that they really matter.
There is some honus on the pronouncer...but also the need for grace on the part of individual with a name so “unique” in common circles that it will likely create issues for those addressing you.
The problem in my view is that they may be industrious but they have no loyalty to America. They are strictly money makers eg Pinchiai Google or other Silicon Valley types.
Indians are clearly not Americans as we know them.
Most of our government(s) is run by children.
Yours too, I bet.
The key difference is intent.
Some immigrants want to remake America in their image, some to remake themselves in America's image.
And Jayapal never left junior high.
Oh, belly good, sahib!
Pamela Jalopy?
I transcribed part of that hearing.
Jayapal had a definite bitchy tone to her voice. And she wouldn't have spoken up at all if Lesko hadn't been letting Barr make his point.
She’s been referred to as “Joe Camel” due to the resemblance.
RECLAIM YOUR TIME, DEBBIE!! :)
I’m so sorry. What a total... can’t say what I want. :)
